FAQ

WHY CHOOSE A PROFESSIONAL APPRAISER?

A professional appraiser has the expertise and credentials necessary to competently evaluate, identify and value personal property. International Society of Appraisers (ISA) Members represent the most highly trained and rigorously tested independent appraisers. The IRS and other organizations recognize ISA Accredited Members as qualified because they are trained and tested for competence in specific types of personal property.

WHAT IS THE APPRAISAL PROCESS?

Every appraisal assignment is unique; however, generally the appraisal process consists of inspecting, measuring and photographing the objects to be appraised, identifying the objects and completing descriptions, researching the value for each object by consulting the most relevant sources in the appropriate marketplace; and compiling a written, professional appraisal report.

HOW MUCH DOES AN APPRAISAL COST?

The fee to prepare an appraisal depends on several factors, including the objective of the appraisal, the number of objects to be appraised, and the quality and content of the information provided on each object. Appraisals are billed on an hourly basis and I will gladly provide a written estimate of my time and fees based on the scope of the particular assignment.
